Cape Mountain Toad (Capensibufo rosei)

Cape Mountain Toad (Capensibufo rosei) is a member of the true toad family, Bufonidae. It is native to the western Cape providence in South Africa. Also it was the answer to frog of the day 6.

Cape Mountain Toad’s lack a call, and is the only amphibian in the southern part of Africa that doesn’t have one. Female frogs reach sizes of an inch and a half while males are smaller and only reach about an inch. It has no tympani, the external ear structure.
